MECHANICAL ENGINEERING:
HVAC System Descriptions:
We specialize in the engineering design of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) of all types of buildings, from high-rise to single family residences.

CENTRAL HVAC SYSTEM: This is the most effective and the most costly HVAC system type for tall and large commerical buildings. Typically a central heating plant (can be gas fired boilers) heats water that is pumped throuout a building in insulated piping to zoned terminal heating units. Cooling is normally accomplished by a main chiller unit with chilled water pumped to zoned terminal cooling units.

PACKAGE UNITARY SYSTEM: We view Commercial Rooftop HVAC units to be able to provide Industry Standard heating, cooling and excellent ventilation for many commerical applications. Unit mounted economizers can provide 100% outside air for "Free-Cooling" during mild weather.

SPLIT-SYSTEM HVAC: This system is typically comprised of a remote condensing unit located on the exterior, with a furnace or fan-coil unit inside the buidling that circulates air in ductwork providing heating and cooling. The furnace or fan-coil are usually floor mounted, but may be located above ceilings when appripriate.

EVAPORATIVE COOLING: Although energy efficient, evaporative cooling units proivde marginal cooling capacity with little temperature control capability. This system is typicallly reserved for use in restaurant kitchen make-up air in non-humid climates.
